Alfresco Appoints Jennifer Smith as Chief Marketing & Culture Officer

Alfresco Software, a leading enterprise open source provider of process automation, content management, and information governance software, today announced that Jennifer Smith joined the company this week as Chief Marketing & Culture Officer. Smith, an international marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in global technology companies, including Software AG, Progress Software, PeopleSoft and Microsoft will lead all aspects of marketing including product marketing, marketing communications, demand generation, and field marketing. Reporting directly to CEO Bernadette Nixon and working closely with the executive leadership team, Smith will also be focused on cultural initiatives that will bring benefit to both internal and external communities.

Prior to joining Alfresco, Smith was CMO of Software AG, an enterprise software company with more than 10,000 customers in over 70 countries. Prior to that, she served as the CMO of Globoforce, and as Senior Vice President and CMO of Avid Technology and Progress Software. She also held senior marketing roles at Information Builders, PeopleSoft and Microsoft. Smith is British and currently resides in Boston, USA.
