NEW YORK, November 25, 2020 — Nuxeo, developer of a leading cloud-native Content Services Platform, today announced it has been named a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms (CSP)1 for the fourth year in a row.

Gartner analysts evaluated multiple vendors based upon their completeness of vision and ability to execute. Nuxeo believes it was positioned as a Visionary in the 2020 report because of its modern and flexible architecture, advanced AI-capabilities and powerful low-code functionality to support complex application development.

“We believe our repeated recognition in the Magic Quadrant is a testament to the tremendous value Nuxeo’s AI-powered platform delivers,” said Nuxeo CEO, Eric Barroca. “We’re all about flexibility, scalability and adaptable architecture. (November 24, 2020 – Bonn) The SER Group, a leading ECM and content services platform provider, is proud to announce that it has been positioned by Gartner as a Visionary in the 2020 Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms*. The report evaluates 18 CSP vendors based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.

The ongoing pandemic and the emergence of what Gartner calls the “new work nucleus” are, in our opinion, accelerating the importance of the digital workplace and the need for innovative content, process and collaboration services. “The key goals of boosting productivity, flexibly scaling business, responding with agility to customer needs and creating a top customer experience have become must-haves for organizations to adapt and thrive in the new work nucleus,” comments Morad Rhlid, Managing Director of SER Solutions International.

Further enhanced user experience

Dr. Gregor Joeris, Chief Technology Officer of the SER Group, remarks, “In line with our strong user focus, we have completely redesigned our web-based interfaces to further improve the user experience. We’ve also expanded on Doxis4’s rich machine-learning capabilities. The Doxis4 Cognitive Services are designed to help our customers gain insights from their data to achieve, for instance, more efficient processes and better customer experiences.”

Flexible deployment & extended managed services

The SER Group has continuously extended its SaaS and managed services offerings over the past few years, including opening a new cloud subsidiary. The company has also successfully expanded its team and partner network in key markets. In particular, the SER Group is supporting several new large multinational customer projects.

93% of customers recommend the SER Group

This year, Gartner already recognized the SER Group with its Doxis4 iRoom as a Representative Vendor in the 2020 Market Guide for Content Collaboration Tools**. The market analysts also included SER in the Gartner Hype Cycle for the Digital Workplace 2020*** as a vendor for Content Integration Services. “Most valuable to us, however, are the positive reviews we get from our customers,” adds Rhlid. In the Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of Customer’: Content Service Platforms 2020****, the SER Group received an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 (based on 30 reviews as of 31 January 2020); 93% of the reviewers would recommend the SER Group.

Overall, Rhlid summarizes, “We are very pleased with the SER Group’s shift to the Visionary quadrant this year. For us, this positioning affirms our vision of constantly innovating, pioneering new standards and developing solutions to meet our customers’ ever-evolving needs. This is a part of our DNA as an innovation leader. Helping our customers to ensure business continuity and growth, particularly in such a challenging time, remains our steadfast commitment.”

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Nov. 24, 2020 — Conduent Incorporated, a business process services and solutions company, today announced a new agreement with Vaya Health that will help the managed care organization (MCO) simplify and optimize the administration of behavioral health benefits to Medicaid recipients in North Carolina. Under the terms of the seven-year agreement, Conduent will deliver and host a custom version of its HSP Core Claims Administration software solution allowing Vaya to more efficiently operate and manage benefits in 22 counties.

As one of only seven behavioral health MCOs in the state of North Carolina, Vaya is moving forward with preparations to operate under new program rules that will require MCOs to coordinate payment of benefits with one of four statewide prepaid health plans (PHPs) by July 2021. Vaya chose Conduent for the company’s proven success with embedded automation and artificial intelligence tools to effectively manage medical cost and complex healthcare claims. Prior to the agreement, Conduent developed a systems modernization model using Vaya’s claims data that projected the efficiency gains and cost savings that artificial intelligence, advanced automation and analytics can deliver.

“As an organization with nearly 50 years of experience in behavioral health and managed care, we understand the importance of innovation in the changing Medicaid landscape,” said Robert Webb, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Vaya Health. “Vaya’s partnership with Conduent demonstrates our ongoing pursuit of excellence as we prepare for the evolution of Medicaid managed care in North Carolina.”

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) recently announced plans resuming efforts to shift the state’s Medicaid program from a fee-for-service to a pay-for-performance model to improve members’ health outcomes while reducing overall costs. New Windsor NY, November 19, 2020 – DocuWare, provider of cloud solutions for document management and workflow automation, announces its new partnership with DocuSign.

At a time when more businesses than ever are supporting remote workforces, the integration of DocuSign’s electronic signature technology to DocuWare’s content services portfolio further ensures business continuity and productivity for all teams.

DocuWare chose DocuSign for its flexibility and feature-richness. The costs are scalable, allowing DocuWare customers to select their subscription level based on usage and demand. Customers can add one or multiple signers and signature locations on a given document. Signatures can be received in a specific order to accommodate a workflow or on a first-come, first-served basis. DocuSign also allows initials in one or multiple locations.

DocuWare includes this new service as part of its cloud-based solutions to all cloud customers. Pricing options based on usage are available to on-premises customers.

“Electronic signatures are a key element to maintaining business continuity when legacy paper-based processes just aren’t possible,” says Dr. Michael Berger, President. Currently, DocuWare’s customers use e-signatures in their legal and HR departments, as all signed documents for recruitment, contracts and new hire onboarding can be securely and efficiently handled in a paperless environment. “The immediacy with which contracts can be signed electronically and processed in a digital workflow is a key aspect of digital transformation from which every customer can benefit,” concludes Berger.

Adhering to the strictest global security standards, multiple user authentication options are available from DocuSign. Users can receive authentication via email, access code, phone, SMS or knowledge-based authentication (using public records to confirm the identity of the signer by asking multiple choice questions).

The addition of DocuSign extends DocuWare’s electronic signature capability first announced last year with its Validated ID partnership.

]]>
ARMONK, N.Y.Nov. 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — IBM today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Instana, an application performance monitoring and observability company. The acquisition will help businesses better manage the complexity of modern applications that span the hybrid cloud landscape. Today’s news further advances IBM’s Hybrid Cloud and AI strategy and strengthens its AI-powered automation capabilities. Financial details were not disclosed.

With the acquisition of Instana, IBM will help companies overcome the challenge of managing application performance across multiple teams, and across 2 to 15 clouds, on average.i And it is another example of how IBM is building on its AI-powered automation capabilities, including:

– the launch of IBM Watson AIOps earlier this year, IBM’s AI offering for automating how enterprises self-detect, diagnose and respond to IT anomalies in real time;
– its acquisition of WDG Automation to provide clients with broader access to intelligent automation through software robots;
– its expanded partnership with ServiceNow to develop a joint solution to help companies reduce operational risk and lower costs by applying AI to automate IT operations;
– and continued updates to IBM Cloud Pak for Automation designed to help companies drive innovation across their expanding IT environments and accelerate digital transformation.

“Our clients today are faced with managing a complex technology landscape filled with mission-critical applications and data that are running across a variety of hybrid cloud environments – from public clouds, private clouds and on-premises,” said Rob Thomas, Senior Vice President, Cloud and Data Platform, IBM. “IBM’s acquisition of Instana is yet another important step that we are taking to provide companies with the most complete portfolio of AI-automated solutions to tackle this enormous challenge and help prevent unforeseen IT incidents that can cost a business in lost revenue and reputation.”

Headquartered in Chicago, with a development center in Germany, Instana provides businesses with capabilities to manage the performance of complex and modern cloud-native applications no matter where they reside – on mobile devices, public and private clouds and on-premises, including IBM Z. Instana’s enterprise observability platform automatically builds a deep contextual understanding of cloud applications and provides actionable insights to indicate how to best prevent and remedy IT issues that could damage the business or reduce customer satisfaction — such as slow response times, services that aren’t working or infrastructure that is down.

Once Instana’s capabilities are integrated into IBM, companies will be able to feed these insights into Watson AIOps. The information could then be compared to a baseline of a normal operating application, with AI triggering alerts to resolve issues quickly before negative impacts to that transaction or activity. This can help eliminate the need for IT staff to manually monitor and manage applications, freeing these employees to focus on innovation and higher value work.

“With the added responsibility of ensuring the build and run quality of the software they develop, DevOps teams need a new generation of application performance monitoring and observability capabilities to succeed,” said Mirko Novakovic, co-founder and CEO, Instana. “Instana’s observability capabilities combined with IBM’s AI-powered automation capabilities across hybrid cloud environments will give clients a full view of their application performance to best optimize operations.”

Instana will offer both SaaS and on-premises solutions depending on the client’s unique needs.

Developers can try the Instana offering by utilizing the free sandbox and trials, already available through their website.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. It is expected to close within several months.

]]>
Downers Grove, Ill., November 17, 2020 – The information technology (IT) industry will morph in 2021, prompted by its response to the chaos of 2020 and affirmation that it is the central nervous system of our digital society, according to the IT Industry Outlook 2021 released today by CompTIA.

The annual report from the leading nonprofit association for the technology industry and IT professionals provides insight into the trends that will shape the industry, its workforce and its business models in the new year.

“The confusion, disruption and uncertainty we’ve experienced in 2020 will have some spillover effect in 2021, but rather than rebuilding to restore what it was, we believe that the industry is poised to rebuild for a better and brighter future,” said Carolyn April, senior director, industry analysis, CompTIA.

“Transformative changes accelerated this year, leaving no doubt about the critical importance of digital operations,” said Seth Robinson, CompTIA’s senior director for technology analysis. “But as the spotlight on tech brightened it brought other matters into focus, including the industry’s responsibility to become more diverse, equitable and inclusive; and whether its influence and reach will be subject to new government regulation.”

10 Trends to Watch in 2021

 1. There Is No Normal – The concept of an established pattern will be more elusive for businesses, forcing them to juggle a multitude of options, from employee locations to supply chain components to customer demands.
 2. Cloud Is King – Organizations will adopt a cloud-first mentality when it comes to building or upgrading IT infrastructure.
 3. Channel Firms Respond to Customer Changes – The need for flexibility by channel firms has never been greater as customers work their way through uncertain times.
 4. Channel Dynamics Become More Balanced – Vendor/partner relationships become a marriage of equals, with cloud computing as the primary matchmaker.
 5. Emerging Technologies Find Their Place Inside Business Solutions – Organizations direct their energy into building solutions on top of the platform’s they’ve built on cloud and mobile options.
 6. Zero Trust Shapes Cybersecurity Initiatives – Verify everything becomes the new paradigm that guides cybersecurity practices.
 7. Managed Service Providers Build Deeper Cybersecurity Expertise – More MSPs redefine their businesses almost exclusively around security, adding advanced services.
 8. Tech Industry Prepares for Regulation – The impact is likely to be felt by everyone, from the largest industry titans to the smallest channel firms.
 9. Business Conversations Drive Business Skills for Tech Pros – No longer relegated to the help desk, IT pros’ need for professional skills is accentuated – and often required.
 10. Companies Set Public Goals for Diversity – It’s time for companies to move beyond awareness to accountability with deliverables that are public and certifiable.

Era of Cautious Optimism

CompTIA’s IT Industry Outlook 2021 also includes expectations for the year ahead from the perspectives of technology company executives and IT professionals.

Companies expect to alter their business models next year by offering more services, getting more involved with emerging technologies, exploring vertical market opportunities and stressing their cybersecurity expertise. Each of these steps (and others) are part of their plans to bounce back from 2020’s challenging environment. Just over 60% of firms said the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on business.

Asked about 2021 prospects, 37% of firms expect to grow revenue in excess of both their 2020 and 2019 results. Another 25% expect revenue to remain stable with 2020 levels, though for some firms that might be less than 2019 because of the effects of the pandemic. About one-quarter say the lost revenue this year but hope to revert back to 2019 levels. Four in 10 companies anticipate keeping their budgets at 2020 levels, with a quarter predicting somewhat higher spending and 13% somewhat lower.

Similar mixed signals are present in survey responses from IT professionals. Nearly 80% feel good about their role as a technologist. The majority see a bright outlook thanks to the high demand for skills, driven by the increasing importance of technology to business strategy. But there is also uncertainty over technology spending, with 44% feeling that budgets are too small, and they acknowledge that they’ll likely be asked to do more with less. In fact, three in 10 companies are retraining existing staff to fill open positions or address new areas of focus.

The report also includes insights to how the industry responded to the pandemic; their plans to support their employees in 2021; hiring plans and criteria; and the potential impacts of more government regulation.

NOVEMBER 16, 2020 — As modern cloud-native applications become more pervasive, the environments in which these applications run are becoming thinner (containers, microservices, functions), increasingly distributed and more geographically diverse. Emerging cloud infrastructure technologies give rise to unique implementation challenges as the modern cloud-native application relies on the network to provide application and API connectivity and a runtime platform for an ever-changing cloud topology. Addressing these challenges will drive developer agility and reduce friction so they can focus on writing code while spending less time managing the environments in which their applications run.

This is why we are pleased today to announce that we intend to acquire substantially all of the assets of Banzai Cloud Zrt. This team has demonstrated experience with complete end-to-end cloud-native application development, deployment, runtime and security workflows. They have built and deployed software tools that solve critical real-world pain points and are active participants in the open-source community as sponsors, contributors and maintainers of several open-source projects.

Founded in 2017 and based in Budapest, Hungary, the acquisition of Banzai Cloud’s assets and team is Cisco’s second recent cloud-native focused acquisition. In October, Cisco acquired Portshift, a cloud-native security company based in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

These two cross-border acquisitions are a testament to the globalization of the cloud-native ecosystem and underscore our commitment to hybrid, multi-cloud application-first infrastructure as the de facto mode of operating IT. The Emerging Technologies and Incubation team’s mission is to incubate impactful technologies and to attract, foster and grow the global talent needed to drive innovation and support our customers’ digital transformation initiatives.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of Cisco’s second quarter of FY’21. The Banzai Cloud team will join the Emerging Technologies and Incubation group, where they will assist in incubating new projects for cloud-native networking, security and edge computing environments for modern distributed applications.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Nov. 17, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Conduent Incorporated (Nasdaq: CNDT), a business process services and solutions company, has announced a commercial agreement with Experian Health, a leading provider of revenue cycle management products that include patient engagement, patient access and patient collections. The agreement enables Conduent’s digital IntelliHealth ™ platform to connect with Experian’s consumer data and electronic income verification tool to speed prescription drug assistance approvals and shorten prescription fulfillment and time to therapy.

The collaboration is expected to streamline access to free prescription drug assistance benefiting up to 28 million Americans with no or limited healthcare coverage, and more than 12.6 million Americans reported to be jobless by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Healthcare Patient Benefits

Every year over $13 billion worth of prescription medicines are provided at no cost to people who can’t afford their medications. To qualify for free prescription drugs, PAP applicants must demonstrate financial need by submitting evidence of family income, family size, and if applicable, their healthcare financial burden. Now patients have a quick and easy paperless proof of income option that eliminates the need for W-2 or tax return submission. Experian’s Patient Financial Clearance leverages credit bureau-exclusive predictors and verified income data to deliver real-time income estimation of all household income.

“Combining Conduent’s patient access technology with Experian’s data now provides a complete financial picture that can validate patient demographics in seconds and greatly improves delivery of patient assistance program services during a time of high need,” said Anthony Bianchini, General Manager Conduent Pharma Life Sciences. “The addition of Experian’s financial data tool aligns seamlessly with our continuing commitment to making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and effective for all.”

“Experian has a 40-year history of using data for good and our work with Conduent furthers that mission,” said Matt McGrath, Vice President of Pharmacy Strategy at Experian Health. “Our solution eliminates requiring a patient to locate and provide financial records, allowing the focus to be on recovery instead of worrying about how to obtain the right treatment.”

For the past 30 years, Conduent has helped the nation’s leading pharmaceutical companies deliver patient assistance programs that help countless patients get access to the medications they need, while reducing physician administrative burdens. ]]>
AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TCP, a leading provider of workforce management and time and labor solutions, today announced the addition of Employee Document Management. This new feature, the result of an integration with eFileCabinet, enables HR teams to easily keep track of all employee documentation with controlled access, unlimited storage and simplified organization through the TimeClock Plus interface.

As HR teams expand their responsibilities to cope with the health and safety of employees in multiple locations, it is crucial that their time and energy is not lost on managing the many documents associated with each employee. A single employee file contains numerous documents including, but not limited to, onboarding forms, contracts, payroll, performance reviews, medical insurance plans, elected tax withholdings and termination letters.

In addition, the US Department of Labor has the right to audit organizations, both randomly and in response to specific complaints, to confirm they are in compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Without digital document management, the process of gathering all the required documentation for employees is time consuming and can cost organizations both directly and indirectly. TCP’s employee document management solution solves this problem by enabling HR teams to easily compile the necessary data to demonstrate compliance when called upon and execute self audits periodically.

“We are excited to partner with the leader in workforce management, TCP. Our business process and document management solutions are powerful human resources’ tools to further enhance TCP’s people processes, including streamlined FMLA procedures,” stated Jesse Wood, CEO, eFileCabinet.

TCP’s Employee Document Management allows organizations to store and access documents by providing:

 • Storage – Automatically store and consolidate employee documents with unlimited storage space. Documents in various formats may be uploaded into a single source enabling TCP’s workforce management solution to support all documentation needs even as organizations grow, with no restrictions on capacity.
 • Organization – Multiple categories may be created and viewed in a drop-down menu by customized groups such as payroll, training, benefits, etc., allowing all documents to be uploaded and viewed in a single source. Time previously spent shuffling through a file cabinet is now replaced by a click on the drop-down menu from a desktop. Complete transparency in regard to any incomplete or missing documentation is an additional benefit.
 • Security – It is extremely important to keep HR information secure, which includes personal information such as social security numbers, addresses, birthdates, etc. This is addressed by giving different configurations to managers and users, with access specifically assigned by the HR administrator. Complete control of what documents can be viewed and/or edited is in the hands of management, providing strict and limited access where needed.

“Additional demands are placed on HR teams as their workforce is increasingly operating from different locations, which requires access to digital documentation to maintain business as usual,” said Leslie Bodnar, Chief Marketing & Product Officer, TCP. “We continue to add capabilities to our robust workforce management solution based on our customers’ needs so that every new feature demonstrates immediate and measurable business value.”
