Novitex Names Enterprise Information Security Expert Anthony Dupree as Chief Information Security Officer

STAMFORD, CT., MARCH 10, 2015: Novitex, the leading provider of innovative, cloud-based solutions in the document outsourcing industry, today announced the appointment of Anthony Dupree as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

In his new role, Dupree will lead a team of dedicated information security specialists to further its innovative defense strategies safeguarding client and employee data. Dupree will report directly to Chief Operating Officer Joe Trost.

“We have remained vigilant in our mission to implement adaptive security solutions,” said Trost. “Our understanding of each client environment allows us to deploy industry-leading controls and best practices to protect sensitive information while supporting compliance and visibility. Anthony’s deep enterprise security and risk management experience underscores our commitment to proactively anticipate and address vulnerabilities. With Anthony at the helm of our Data Security Office, his team will spearhead the cross-functional responsibilities of collaborating with business units, key stakeholders, partners and clients to integrate and maintain information risk strategies, policies and procedures.”

Novitex’s team of specialized security experts work to drive awareness and adherence to industry regulations and client requirements through policies, employee education and external assessments. At the core of the company’s framework is the Data Security Office’s defense in depth model, a layered methodology that leverages people, technology and operational processes to protect the integrity of the information assets. The model is based on the military principle that it is more difficult for an enemy to defeat a complex and multi-layered defense system than to penetrate a single barrier.

“I look forward to working hand-in-hand with the senior management to lead a team that is at the forefront of vital preventative measures,” said Dupree. “The increasing prevalence and complexity of cyber threats emphasizes the necessity to accelerate the defense process by eliminating information overload through nimble discovery and analysis. Real-time data intelligence plays a critical role in arming our team’s advanced detection and investigation to prioritize alerts and quell future incidents.”

Dupree joins Novitex from McGraw-Hill Education, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Technical Security Standards & Risk Assessment, and oversaw information security programs. He also held senior roles at Elizabeth Arden and Toys R Us, managing global enterprise IT security, network infrastructure, and risk and compliance programs. Dupree received his Bachelor of Art in Communications from New York Institute of Technology and a Masters of Technology from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is currently enrolled in the PHD program majoring in Information Assurance at Nova Southeastern University. Dupree holds certifications from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council).
