Square 9 Softworks Achieves Re-Certification with HIPAA and SOC 2

New Haven, CT. July 12, 2023 – Square 9 Softworks, a leading document and information automation platform known for taking the paper out of work, has successfully recertified in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and System and Organization and Controls 1 (SOC 2).

HIPAA certification is essential to working with healthcare organizations as it ensures compliant organizations have taken proper steps to ensure the security and privacy of all health records and individually identifiable information. It also requires that organizations have an effective remediation plan in place in the event of a data breach in accordance with the HiTech Act.  SOC 2 certification builds on that by ensuring that proper controls and audit measures have been implemented to ensure the security of all data being housed by compliant organizations.
