RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ and HOPKINTON, MA – July 14, 2014 – Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced it has partnered with EMC Information Intelligence Group to bring electronic content management capabilities to its lineup of multifunction printers.
Designed to increase workplace efficiency, Samsung has added compatibility with EMC Captiva ISIS Drivers to its SCX-5935FN, SCX-5835FN and M4580FX multifunction printers. Customers now have the option of secure, wireless transfer of documents without the need to download additional software or drivers.
EMC Captiva ISIS and Captiva Cloud Capture technologies help create a business advantage by converting paper, faxes, and other content into application-ready information, resulting in improved interoperability and efficiency. EMC Captiva uses the ISIS (Image and Scanner Interface Specification) industry standard together with EMC PixTools desktop capture software development toolkits (SDK) and EMC Cloud Capture Toolkit browser based capture software to maximize performance and provide consistent and reliable functionality for scanners and imaging applications.
“As enterprises move capturing of business critical documents to their branch offices, we have seen an increasing demand for MFPs in the market. Users are especially interested in solutions which are easy to use and deploy while offering a high degree of software and hardware compatibility. We are excited to partner with Samsung to fulfill this market need,” said Karthik Manimozhi, Channel Chief, EMC Information Intelligence Group.
“By partnering with EMC, Samsung is unlocking the potential for our print customers to leverage document management functionality to enhance efficiency and profitability,” said Matt Smith, vice president of sales and marketing, printing solutions for Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division. “Adding support for electronic content management gives us the ability to help companies of all sizes more effectively manage their print resources, which are an integral part of delivering an enhanced business experience.”
The Samsung SCX-5935FN and M4580X multifunction printer offers a high output with worry-free troubleshooting to boost productivity in even the most challenging of business environments. It is also compatible with mobile printing. The Samsung SCX-5835FN laser multifunction printer supports workgroups of varying sizes and needs.
